In Puglia we say, “Quando il ragù chiama… si corre!” — when ragù calls, you run to the table. At Zia Tina, that same spirit lives in our kitchen every day. The dish that captures our heart is our beloved Pasta al Forno, also known as our Baked Ragù Pasta — a dish that smells like Sunday memories, full tables, and someone always asking for just one more bite. This isn’t a quick sauce. It’s a ragù made with patience, care, and a little Italian stubbornness that refuses to rush what should take time.
We begin with a blend of beef and pork, chosen carefully, then build the base with a classic soffritto of onions, carrots, and celery gently cooked in olive oil. Tomatoes follow, with basil and pepper, before the ragù is left to slowly simmer and deepen in flavor. Layer by layer, we assemble our Pasta al Forno with creamy béchamel and melted cheese, before it goes into the oven and emerges golden, bubbling, and irresistibly rich.”
For us, food is about connection. At Zia Tina, tables fill with couples sharing dishes, families celebrating milestones, and friends gathering over stories and wine. Guests often tell us our ragù pasta tastes like Italy in Bali — and that’s the greatest compliment we could receive. So if you find yourself in Seminyak, consider this your invitation: come hungry, bring good company, and let the ragù do the talking. Mangia, bevi, balla — eat, drink, dance. Always.
