Seminyak has a lot of Italian food. Picking one place can take longer than the meal itself. Here is the short answer. If you want honest, hearty Southern Italian food in a warm room, come to Zia Tina on Jalan Petitenget. If you want a slower dinner with a chef’s table, go to MAURI. If you came to Bali for seafood, go to Bonito. All three kitchens are run by the same chef, so you are choosing a mood, not a risk.
Zia Tina is inspired by the masseria way of life in Puglia. Whitewashed walls, natural wood, plates made to be shared. The food is home style Southern Italian, cooked fresh and served generously, just like at Zia’s.
It works for almost any plan. Breakfast before the beach. A long lunch. Pizza with the kids. Aperitivo before a night out. The kitchen and the bar both run from 7am to 11pm, every day.
Three dishes guests keep coming back for:
Most guests spend around Rp 100,000 to Rp 250,000 per person. Add a glass of wine and stay a while. Zia says there is always room for more.
Jalan Petitenget No. 9, Seminyak, on the lobby floor of KLEO Seminyak. Open daily, 7am to 11pm. Kids are welcome. Dogs are welcome too, so nobody gets left at the villa.
Zia Tina, MAURI and Bonito all come from Chef Maurizio Bombini, who grew up in Puglia and started out in his parents’ restaurant on the Adriatic coast. Same roots, three different nights out.
MAURI is the quieter, more grown up one. Italian contemporary cooking, an open kitchen you can watch, and a five seat chef’s table if you want the full tasting. Good for anniversaries, client dinners and anyone who wants the evening to take three hours. See MAURI Restaurant.
Bonito is the seafood side of the family, with a Mediterranean menu and a rooftop in Seminyak. Fresh fish, sunset, cold wine. Good for groups who want a view with dinner. See Bonito Restaurant.
A few things we are proud of:
There is more to do here than eat, too. We run happy hour cocktails, an Italian cooking class, and private dining and events for bigger tables.
Evenings and weekends fill up, so yes, book ahead. Walk ins are welcome when we have space.
Very. Shared plates, pizza and a relaxed room. Here is more on family friendly dining at Zia Tina, and yes, we are pet friendly.
We can. Tell us the date and headcount and we will sort the table and the menu. More on our events page.
Pick your time and we will keep a table ready. Come hungry, leave like family.
